Careers
The curriculum at Ixworth is designed to ensure students are fully prepared for their future beyond the School. With an extensive enrichment curriculum, sequenced learning cycles and high quality tutor time programme, students can also look forward to a careers package that builds understanding for their future pathways, exposes them to multiple experiences and develops the skills and qualities essential for success in the wider world. To support this, parents are encouraged to share experiences of their own, to speak to students about what interests them and look at multiple routes at Post-16 and beyond. In order to support with these discussions, we have also placed some useful links into the website below.

Want to know more about possible careers and routes into them?
It is perfectly normal for students to be unsure about their future prospects. As part of the careers program of Study, our students will be introduced to a wide range of potential careers. This exposure to the plethora of opportunities supports students in making informed decisions about next steps as they move into KS4, KS5 and beyond.
Below are a number of links to websites that may be useful in finding which careers may be tailored to your specific interests and aspirations.
We strive to prepare our students to be active learners through our inclusive, skills and knowledge- rich curriculum. In partnership with our community, we share the goal to create learning opportunities both inside and outside the classroom. Our students aspire to become responsible, respectful and valued members of the community who are ready to meet the challenges of the future with empathy.
